Workshops

Workshops
Sustainable Farming Workshops are where we move beyond pretty views and get into the nuts and bolts of how to grow food in this climate. We walk you through compost piles, worm bins, mulching systems, and living soil, explaining what's worked for us over decades and what we'd do differently if we were starting fresh.

Depending on the day, we might focus on composting, soil testing, water management in heavy rains, or how to lay out a small food forest in a backyard. You'll see the real systems - with their quirks and imperfections - not a demonstration garden tidied for pictures.

These sessions attract home gardeners, new farmers, and folks who've done WWOOF educational stays elsewhere and want to see a mature site. For deeper dives, we sometimes add focused composting and soil care sessions where you can literally get your hands in the pile and feel the heat.

You leave with notes, practical ideas you can apply at home, and a clearer understanding of what "organic" really means when the weeds and weather don't cooperate.
